Burning Calories with your brain?
can you burn calories using your brain alone?
if so how many calories can you burn using your brain, what kind of thinking do you have to do to burn calories?

Yes, thinking does burn calories. Studies have shown that more calories are burned if you sit reading a book rather than just sitting and doing nothing.
However, only very few calories are burned this way. You probably won't burn more than a hundred a day by thinking alone (that's about the equivalent of a banana).
Try clenching muscles while you are stationary, or getting up to wander around for a bit if you are stuck writing an assignment or stuck in an office. You burn far more calories being physically active.

Actually, your brain burns about 500 to 600 calories per day regardless of whether you are asleep or awake. This is why head generates so much heat and why wearing a hat in the winter to prevent that heat loss is so effective for keeping warm.

may be...
but the brain eats too to have a glucose...which will be used by our brain in doing activities...that's why food is important to our life!

This hasn't been proving, but I've heard if you think skinny, you'll slim down, but not by much. I personally don't believe it.
