Fellow Christians, President George W. Bush is a member of Skull & Bones Fraternity. Does that bother you?

"Skull and Bones is the oldest of Yale’s fraternities, founded in December of 1832 by a Yale senior named William Huntington Russell (1809-85). He and a group of classmates decided to form the Eulogian Club as an American chapter of a German student organization. The club paid obeisance to Eulogia, the goddess of eloquence, who took her place in the pantheon upon the death of the orator Demosthenes, in 322 B.C., and who is said to have returned in a kind of Second Coming on the occasion of the society’s inception. The Yale society fastened a picture of its symbol — a skull and crossbones — to the door of the chapel where it met. Today the number 322, recalling the date of Demosthenes' death, appears on society stationery. In 1856 Daniel Coit Gilman, who went on to become the founding president of Johns Hopkins University, officially incorporated the society as the Russell Trust Association, and Skull and Bones moved into the space it still occupies.

Based on this information, President Bush has sat at the table of Demons as described in 1 Corinthians 10:21.

Was he eating a sacrificial meal to an idol? The passages before this verse say something about this. I'm not really a fan of President George W. Bush, but I don't think I have the authority to judge his actions regarding his faith. The presidency....yes.

This is old, old news. It didn't bother the religious right that voted him into office the second time.

Given that nominal christianity itself doesn't have too much more of a foundation to stand on than Skull & bones does it is not a surprise.

I didn't read that mass of text. But I was never entirely sure if W. truly was a Christian or not.

He denied that Jesus was the only way to God once, and it made me wonder... Plus, the whole "declaring war" thing isn't very Jesus-like.

Not to judge him... I'm just saying, I'm not 100% sure he really is a Christian in the first place.

Isn't it a little late to be bringing this up 4 weeks before he leaves office?

College fraternities are nothing but a means to make contacts for after college. This means absolutely nothing.
