35 weeks, 4 days too early???????????????????????????????

I am 35 weeks, 4 days preggers with my 2nd, is that too early to go into labor? Being my 2nd Im not sure. With my 1st my body never went into labor on its own. Please help me understand a little.

Update:

Ive been sitting here at work having hard contractions, but no "show" or anything like that. Probably just false.

after 7 months, any thing can happen and the baby will still make it so don't stress

  • That is too early for the lungs to be fully functional. I never went into labor on my own with my first two.

I did however, go into full blown labor with my 3rd at 37 weeks 3 days. She's 3 days old, came home yesterday, and is doing great! She was 5lbs11oz, and had no problems at all. She only lost 1oz while in the hospital, and, was able to come home on time with me. So you're almost in the clear. They say 37 weeks is when they won't stop your labor. Thats all because of the lungs.

i think this is fine. Its best at 37 weeks. Being born early just increases the risks, but doesn't mean your baby will have problems.

My cousin had her boy at 35 wks, 6 days and he went home with her the next day. It just depends on how healthy the baby is. Dont believe what ppl say. you are way past the dangerous phase.

Anything before 37 weeks is considered preterm. The baby is at a higher risk for lung immaturity and infection among other things. The longer he "cooks" in there the better.

the toddler would be nice. 37 weeks is seen comprehensive term and he or she's in uncomplicated terms 3 days faraway from that. My maximum suitable buddy had her toddler at 36 weeks precisely and he became completely nice and that they went abode day after today.

Yes it is still a bit too early. Your body will know when its time and if it ends up like the first then you'll be induced. Good luck.

my docs try to stop labor if it is before 36 weeks... ideally, you want to be closer to 38 weeks for lung development... they won't induce this early unless there was another issue (i.e. gestational diabetes or preeclamsia).

Too early in my opinion, lungs aren't fully mature until 37-38 weeks.

you're not full-term until 37 weeks. So yes, 35 weeks is too early.
