I read Twilight for the first time about a week and a half before the movie. I loved the book and I was hoping that the movie would live up to the movie I had playing in my head. To be perfectly honest I wasn't crazy about it, there were some moments of unbelievable acting and some parts that I loved in the book were rushed through or were slightly twisted. I was glad I saw it but I wasn't happy with it.

But no it didn't ruin the image in my head it's still there; and I plan on seeing the second movie and just keep my fingers crossed that it will be better.

If you want to see it go and see it, don't keep wondering about it this much, I actually have friends that loved it. I Hope you like it if you do!

    From my personal experience

My goal was to finish reading Twilight (again) before the movie came out. I finished about a hour before the midnight showing so it could be clear and fresh in my head when I saw the movie. I have to say I loved the movie considering I have seen it seven times since it came out. Even though I have seen the movie that many times it did not destroy the image. Though I have to say that at some parts, when I am reading Twilight or one of the other books in the saga some of the actors pop up in my head and that's only when I'm thinking about the movie.

I still maintained my mental image because it's the way I read it the very first time. There are slight differences in the movie based on the book but not many. I promise you.

Go and See Twilight. It will not ruin your image of the book. I can guarantee it.

    Good Luck!

The movie wasn't that good. I thought that it was going to be awesome because well, the book was great! Honestly, the movie could have been better, but a lot of parts were missed, so i think that people that didn't read the book could have gotten confused. If you are a real fan of the book, and don't want to ruin your image, perhaps you shouldn't watch the movie. I mean, it's ok, but not great.

The books are of course way better, But the movie is still so good! I have seen it four times, Yes four, And I read the books first before the movie. I still loved most of the characters in the movie as much as I did in the book. Bella's personality was a tad different though. But I think you should see it! It's my favorite movie! :)

I saw the movie the other day and I loved it. it is a little different from the book (it would be impossible to follow exactly). for me, the image wasn't ruined at all. no matter who plays the characters or what the movie is like, i will always see it the way i first saw it in my head. for other people, they may start seeing it like the movie but everyone i've talked to seems to think that would be a good thing.

My daughter is a huge twilight fan. She has read all of the books and waited anxiously for the movie. She said it was sooooo good. Some of the characters were not like she imagined in her head from the book, but that overall, she is so glad she went to see the movie. Just go for it, and enjoy!!!

Well i'm a HUGE twilight fan i luv the books and i like movie too!!They can't put everything that happened in the book in the movie so they did leave some parts out,and add some in to make it flow better!!!But ya i luved the movie and the book it definitly didn't destroy my mental images :)

It didn't really ruin the book for me. But the acting and casting and script and special effects .. and pretty much everything about the movie was HORRIBLE! nevermind ruining the book, I wouldn't waste your money on that garbage! My favourite worst quote was Edward saying to Bella "climb on spidermonkey!". HORRIBLE! Also the book is alot of unspoken things, and these actors couldn't carry that off without looking constipated, mentally challenged, or just plain old crazy.

the book is better they totally ruin the movie trust me i have to find out that people who read the book and seen the movie did not like the movie and people who have not read the book like the movie

I would have to say that the book is a little better,

BUT the movie kept a lot of the parts from the book.

    Even what they say.

I would see it. It's really good
