Could these be symptoms of a milk allergy?

First, let me state that I already have a doctor's appointment for my daughter regarding this issue. I'm just curious about the experience of other Mom's.

My daughter is 13 months old. We have switched her to whole milk over the last two months. Out of those 8 weeks, I would say she's had a persistent cough for probably 5 of them... Since completing the transition to 100% milk, her stool is a soft, yellow, pasty/sticky mess. She hasn't had a solid, brown stool in 3+ weeks. She's been to the doctor every 10 days for the cough and runny nose. They told me it was viral for 2 visits, then put her on antibiotics to see if that would help.

Has anyone out there had similar experiences with their own child? Was the child diagnosed with lactose intolerance or a milk allergy?

Given that the child has a runny nose and a cough, I say milk allergy.

Since the child has milk allergies and was put on antibiotics, you need to look into probiotics to restore healthy bacteria to the gut.

Food allergies can take on many different forms. My son is lactose intolerant and it affects him in the form of constipation. An allergy to milk can cause congestion too. I would suggest staying away from milk products for a while and substitute soy. My son is 14 now, 6'2" and healthy as an ox. He's never drunk cows milk (except when we found out he was intolerant) but uses soy milk in place of it.

She has an allergy to the milk. My kid was put on soy milk. If you thought the milk was bad. The smell on Soy is worse. But soy works. Till this day he can not drink milk.

she is not reacting well to whole milk, switch back to a lactose free formula or go back to powder milk. some times it is too soon for children to switch to whole milk, i put my baby on cow's milk at 18 month just to be safe
