Not many there are more between dog or cat and human. There are diseases that pass equine to human.

There are over five dozen species of internal parasites known to infect horses. Most are worms which are specific to horses and cannot be transmitted to other animals or to humans.

Here are some internal parasites found in horses that can be transmitted:

Giardia lamblia parasite, common in horses and transmited to humans by contact with feces.

Cryptosporidium parvum is a protozoal intestinal parasite can be spread from foals to humans.

Babesia parasites transmitted by blood on a needle after giving a shot or sometimes contaminated semen from stallion.

There a mulitude of other parasites and diseases but they only pass from equine to human from flies, mosqitoes or ticks.

Some of the most common/important internal parasites found in horses are: strongyles (large & small), ascarids, tapeworms, pinworms, and bots. Of these, there have been cases of all of these types found in humans. Bot egg infestations in humans are uncommon and tapeworms aren't very commonly transferred to humans either. Sorry, but there are well over 150 different species of internal parasites; I do not memorize them nor will I go through each individually and list whether or not they are transmissible to humans from horses (zoonotic). This is as much of a 'real' answer that I'm going to give.

Most internal parasites are species specific. Occasionally roundworms and pin worms are transferred from other animals' feces to horses, so animals like opossums and raccoons that defecate on your horses hay or in the grain and are infested with worms will transmit them, but it's not all that common.

Horses, like other animals, can only get tapeworms from a flea bite, as far as I know. I was always told by my vet that there are a very few parasites, whether internal or external, that are transmittable between species.

OK..lets see...there are Bots, Large and Small Round Worms, Small and Large Strongyles, Pinworms, Tapeworms..

Humans are susceptable to pin worms and tape worms...
