Wow. Drilled a hole in the gas tank to drain it. The diesel could have been siphoned out with a hose. Expect a gas leak at the patch.

Drilling a hole in the tank was a mistake. The only way to drain a tank it to either take the tank out and pump the fuel out or to disconnect a fuel line and hot wire the fuel pump. You should probably see a good mechanic about repairing the fuel tank, J B weld is good stuff but this is a critical component and a repair failure could be a real disaster.

When my oil tank has been low, I've added diesel from the gas station with no problem. I've been told you use an average of 10 gallons of oil a day to heat a 4 bedroom house.

a few yeare ago i had the same experiance. if you ged rid of all the diesel there should be no problem. i suggest that you run a tank of high octane gas through the car. then you can return to your normal fuel type.as for the jp weld it should hold. check with a few auto stores, some carry expandable plugs. .in the event of a crash i would not rely on the jp my car lasted another 12 years after my incident.

i don't know if the jb weld will hold put he should have drained the tank with a siphon hose hes lucky that drilling a hole in the gas tank it didn't get hot and blow up from heat or spark did he light a match and see if its empty too i wouldn't want him working on my car

NO! Drilling a hole could cause sparks and heat which could ignite the remaining gas in the tank. take it to a shop, let people who know what they are doing do it. Safety First!!!!!!!!!!!

Should just take ti to the shop.be safe
