I decided to do some maintenance on my air tools, so I need to know if I can use regular automotive grease that is already in my grease gun. Or do I need to use a specific grease in air tools? Thanks

I am trying to get the dome light to work on my '74 Nova. The bulb tests good and my meter shows 12 volts, but the test light (which does work) won't light. I have removed the socket, which had a broken connection, and stripped the 2 wires to test for power. I even touched the wires directly to the dome light bulb, and it won't light. How can I have 12 volts that won't light a bulb?

I have amps and subs in my car and truck. They sound OK now, but I would like to be able to properly tune them myself. I remember years ago, my friend had a test cd that ran the full range of audio to tune his system. I'm looking for something like that to download, preferably for free. Can anyone help me out?

I have a Whirlpool top loading washing machine (model LSQ9544KQ0) that has started making a loud banging noise when it tries to spin. It washes and agitates just fine.

About a month ago the pump was leaking and I replaced it. Now this! The washer is about 8 or 9 years old.

From what I have learned on appliance repair sites, if the motor coupler was broken, it would not agitate, which it does.

Any help would be appreciated.

My friends and I drink alot of beer. We prefer drinking glass bottled beer, but cans are OK, too. We drink Budweiser and Bud Light, and a few years ago when these beers became available in aluminum bottles, we tried it. NONE of us thought the beer tasted right from the aluminum bottles, and we have tried it on various occasions.

My question is, why would beer from an aluminum bottle taste any different than from an aluminum can? Same material, right?

I have an IBM ThinkCentre S50 model 8183. It has a Pentium 4 2.4 GHZ processor, 768 mb RAM, 80 gig hard drive and runs XP Pro. I recently bought a game, SimCity Societies, for cheap. I didn't realize that my onboard video chipset would not work until I loaded the game and it would not run.

I am not a computer whiz, although I have added internal components myself. Please try to keep it simple if you can.

The game package says I need a video adapter with at least 128 mb memory and either a ATI Radeon 9600 or greater, or a NVIDIA FX 5900 or greater.

Am I limited to these video cards, or can I use something else? I have been looking on ebay for these cards, and I have noticed that I need one with the correct interface. What does that mean, and what do I have?

I live on a curvy, hilly 2 lane country road. There are no shoulders on this road and steep drop offs to the sides. The speed limit is 45 mph. The road is 8 miles long, and I live about in the middle.

I have a question about bicyclists. Quite often, as I am driving to or from work or the store, I will come up behind a bicyclist in my lane. It scares me when this happens around a blind curve.

My question is, what do I do when this happens and there is a vehicle coming the other way? I can't stop fast enough to not hit the bicyclist, and who wants a head on crash with a large truck? The only other option is to drive off the road, which may be off of a cliff.

The only bicyclists I see on this road are in their Spandex riding gear. I know they are just riding for recreation. Not going to work. There are many trails, paved and otherwise to ride for fun. I ride a bicycle myself, and I only ride the bike trails, just for the reason I mentioned.

I am not saying that bicyclists should not have the right to ride on the road. I want to know why some will put themselves in obvious danger.

I have an old Genie Blue Max garage door opener and I don't have an owners manual. I need to make some adjustments and the Genie web site is no help. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I just bought a used '08 Dodge Avenger with MYGIG and GPS. The car has 33K miles on it. I am having problems with the HDD (hard drive).

I successfully copied 2 CD's to the HDD and it worked fine for a day. Now the music is gone. Can't find it.

Then I tried copying to the USB with my thumb drive with songs in WMA format. Waited over 20 minutes and it never finished loading. The light was blinking on the thumb drive the whole time,but no files were transferred.

The MYGIG is supposed to have 30 gig of drive space with the GPS, but the menu shows only 8 gig of space.

Anyone know how to fix this great piece of technology without going to the dealer? It will go there if I can't fix it myself.

Feel free to share your MYGIG problems. I need to know what else to expect.

Aside from the expensive mats from high end retailers($70 and up),I can't find red floor mats for my '96 Chevy K1500 truck. It has factory red rubber mats that are shot. any ideas?
