How should I temporarily cover the light fixture wires?

We took down the ceiling light fixture in the bathroom and currently have no replacement. I am concerned about moisture from the shower getting to the wires.

elec tape will hold out moisture temp. if your going to leave it off for along time get a peice of cardboard or plastic and cover the hole with this.

First of all make sure that the power supply to the wires is in the off position. use stripconnecters and keep the ends of the wires apart. if the ceiling is high enough this should put you out of danger. Otherwise you should switch off the lighting-circuit breaker and disconnect the supply wires from the switch outside the bathroom door and insulate them with again stripconnecters or even insulation tape.
