How can you drill a hole in...?

You don't 'drill' glass, you grind it.

Use a pointed abrasive stone point in your Dremel tool.

A bit of water dripped on the point as you grind will speed the process,

and control the dust which is not good to breathe.

Slow and steady does it.

Cheaply made glass, like an old bottle, may have internal stresses

which could cause it to shatter when you cut it.

Wear a stout glove on the hand that holds the bottle.

they make a glass drill bit but it is about the same as a masonary bit, (has a funny looking point ) both will work , start off drilling on a slow speed till you get a small dimple in the glass so the bit wont walk on you ( move around) then speed up dont press really hard just keep a light pressure and let the bit do the work.

I make lamps out of mason jars and you buy the top part(everything included) at wal-mart in the hardware department.They make really nice lamps,i made my husband a fishing one with my fathers antique lures and hooks.You can find nice lampshades online also.

they make diamond bits for dremmel tools. i had to use them once to cut a circle in ceramic, they should work on glass too. i'm not positive but i think i paid less than ten$ for a pack of 6
