well i download movies using torrents and i want to kno why do ppl seed? whats in it for them?

Its a "romantic" Idea that if they seed 'this' someone will seed 'that' for them. It's Mighty Neighborly to 'Hold the Door' so-to-speak.
Also, some torrent sites keep track of how much you seed and if you don't seed enough, they won't let you get their torrents anymore.
Also, If the torrent IS being watched by Federal Authorities or whoever, You got nothing to lose by seeding due to the fact that your IP was recorded the moment you took full possession of the file (1 full copy).
edit: The Likeliness of someone hacking your computer because of you Torrenting something, is not as big as someone hacking your computer because your firewall pinged while some hacking group was mass scanning a block of IP addresses.
