What word descibes a person who accused others of things that can't be proven? ?

I see people accusing people of things all the time & I want to stop this. If someone says that a pollution is horrible & I want examples of why they believe this then that is fine. I saw a question this morning where a person accused a person of being dumb. Well the person in question has a law degree & has raised an enormous amount of money for charitable reasons. She was raised around politicians & spend years around Aristotle Onassis & her whole immediately family has died her brother in a plane crash & to survive these losses requires something other than being dumb. So I asked the person to explain why they think this person is dumb.....what is it that they are being by making accusations like this?

They are indulging in Slander or Libel which are civil wrongs and can be subjected to defamation law suits. Slander or Libel implies that the accusation is wrong.

skeptic = if you don't usually believe everything people say and you try to find out if it's wrong or not.

and i don't think it's "accusation", unless you are accusing someone that he or she is wrong.

first try to believe in the goodness in people. that's a good start.
