How can I get some good karma?

I have had the worst luck lately. I'm not sure why the bad karma is clinging to me since I just donated to Toys for Tots, the Humane Society, and a local food pantry. I am also a psychology intern and do therapy for people with severe mental illness for free. Something isn't right. The house I put an offer on doubled in price, I walked out my door in high heels and stepped in two feet of snow, my brother overdosed on pills, my fiance's truck (our financial support) is broken, none of my friends have been talking to me, and much more. I am getting so depressed. I feel alone and irritated at everything that has been happening.

What kinds of things can I do to get karma back on my side?

Because you say you are a psychology intern I wonder how far you are in your education.

Positive self-talk! Be proud of yourself for all the great things you've accomplished. You may be down on your luck at the moment but you:

    a. have a job.

    b. are looking to buy a house.

    c. have a committed relationship.

    d. are in school.

    e. have a pair of heels.

You have so many things going for you right now. Enjoy what you have. Take a break and relax!

For Christians, when **** hits the fan, we pray for God, and leave it in his hands. Through providing him trust and faith, he provides the answers. You cannot buy your karma, or good luck. It never seems to work that way.

Your a good person, so theres a good chance that your good deeds haven't gone unnoticed. They will come in full circle giving enough time.

A lot of your things are circumstanal, its winter, therefore theres snow. The housing market sucks, if your getting taken advantage of with this house, perhaps you were meant to get a different house.

Last September I seperated from my wife, got fired from my job, and then divorced in 3 weeks time, 1 each week, but us humans are adaptable. We can get through a lot. The important thing is not to keep it all bundled up, it will drive you crazy. Take things 1 day at a time, theres to much in your busy life to worry about all at once.

    Good luck, god speed.

If you believe in karma you will have to accept you have racked up some cosmic debt in to the past. The solution, keep doing good works. As the Buddha taught "Evil follows evil as the cart follows the ox, Good accompanies good as does your shadow"

My karma just ran over your dogma?
