why do other nfl fans love to hate Dallas so much?

Yeah and haters like to say we are living in the past and the Cowboys haven't done anything lately. But part of being a true fan is knowing the history and heritage of your team and sticking by them in the bad times as well. Bandwagon fans only go with the team that is winning at the moment. But if you check the haters comments about the Cowboys, most of them think we are all bandwagon fans.

A lot of this younger generation don't know anything of what you just mentioned a lot stems from who their parents hate. Or they jump on the hate bandwagon just to be with the rest of the haters. Now some remember back in the day when Dallas was the bomb and will admit I hate them because they use to beat my team all the time for these people I have respect. For the ones talking about I hate them they are just stupid, people generally hate a winner well we all know that is and has not been the case with Dallas. Well I hate their fans because they brag and are arrogant but go to another question and lo and behold there they are doing the same thing they just accused someone else of doing. Why would you hate someone that has not won a playoff in 12years as they like to say over and over so what is there to hate ? They really don't, just like jumping on bandwagons of the majority. (hate) Some are just retarded some have jumped on and off of different bandwagons(EVEN DALLAS) so much they call them own selves HOP-A-LONG

Poor sportsmanship. As long as their team is winning, they are happy. If their team isn't doing so well, then they hate everyone else and look for reasons to hate. Dallas has a tradition of being successful. The jealously has turned into hatred. Another example is last years New England team. It's a game. A rivalry is good. Hatred is simply bad sportsmanship. Enjoy the game for what it is and have fun with the rivalries.

Because they are living off the past and they are also living off of the same old tried preseason hype each year as if they are supposed to make teams say "Look there are the Cowboys, let's lay down and let them beat us so they won't look stupid in the end for not winning another playoffs game, and not making it to the Superbowl" and it gets tired some let the season play determine who the champ is not the media and the hype.

the dallas cowboys are overrated, the pittsburgh steelers have 6 superbowl appearance's with only one lose,i hate the cowboys because they think that they are america's team, did i miss a vote or something, the real america's team should be the pittsburgh steelers, we have beaten you guys 2 out of 3 times in the superbowl, every one is so sick of the cowboys always getting into trouble, they are big cry babies and whiners

They were dubbed "Americas Team" by nfl films in the 70's, so blame them for the label.

since your explanation seems to include some facts then really its just the way people feel about their own teams either lack of success or lack of coverage on tv. myself i am a raiders fan and although they have had a few years of really bad playing i dont hold a grudge against the cowboys or their current management. i just enjoy good football on sundays and monday night!

Speaking as a NY Giants fan, I hate the Dallas Cowboys simply because they are a division rival. Every Giants-Cowboys game is exciting to watch, but almost always a tough game.

I also hate the Cowboys because they are so called "America's Team", which I think is bull.

Because they are the yankees of football, they dont build from ground up like most teams .they tend to trade alot of draft picks for veterans or just buy pro bowlers because they are in a much bigger market than all other teams. So it becomes unfair to teams that develop their talent and never maket it like the eagles or panthers or titans.

When the Patriots were winning everything there were more haters of the Pats than the cowgirls. The cowgirls haven't won anything, nothing in a long time.
