Adam and Eve were created perfect. They were tempted by satan and failed the test thereby becoming imperfect. They passed imperfection and sin on to the entire human race.and hence death. God made arrangements right then and there to give humans a savior so they could be reconciled to God in the future. Satan will be put to death for his sin after the 1,000 year reign of Christ. In fact it is Jesus Christ who will put satan to death having been given the authority by God.

Basic theme of the bible...man sins and death enters the world. Man is eternally separated from a Holy God, and needs a redeemer to bridge the gap between man and God. Jesus, God's son, willing leaves heaven and comes to earth in a human body, lives a perfect life, therefore being qualified to be the needed redeemer. Jesus sacrifices himself for the sins of all mankind past, present and future. God accepts the sacrifice and allows Jesus to be that redeemer.
