Not only would He have owned a gun, but He would have been a God-fearing, English-speaking, American patriot, a registered member of the Republican Party and the National Rifle Association, and He would have voted "Yes" for Proposition 8 as well as voting for John McCain!

I suspect not. I also suspect he wouln't own an SUV (he'd be a big fan of public transportation). I also think he'd be saddened and appalled by how greed and human expansion have dirtied up his once clean, pretty planet. I also think he'd want subscribers to his faith to do so voluntarily, from their hearts, in a secular society which respects free will and openness.

In short, I suspect he'd look nothing like contemporary Christian conservatives imagine he would. Unless, of course, all of the anti-dogmatic, rebellious fire he exhibited in the gospels was just a youthful phase.

On the other hand the Christian Bible has a pacifist streak so it's hard to say.

It is hard enough to speculate when we know what a person's positions are, it's really futile when you have several versions of someones views with subtle differences.
