64 bit vista home premium?
im looking to buy a new laptop. Its 4 gig memory, but also comes with a 64 bit Operating system. Should i opt for this, or would i b better off with the 3 gig of memory which appearently comes with 32 bit. What are the advantages and drawbacks to a 64 bit OS? thanx

you might run into application compatibility problems with 64 bit, as not all software support 64 bit

I just went to home premium on my latest build and I fell in love with it! Its a short learning curve navigating but its well worth it. As far as the memory, I'm not sure that I would take such a memory cut. If anything, check out the memory prices and how much your new system can handle. 64 bit will handle up to 8 gigs. I've got 8 in my new system and it flys!
By the way GONE, I've got a chitload of apps from 7 years ago and have yet to find one that hasnt run on my new pc.
