Has anyone heard of the Roots of Empathy program?

Or have you taken part in it? A baby and mother visits classrooms each month and the kids get to know the baby and develop empathy for it. They feel safe in expressing their own emotions as a result.

It has been shown to cut down bullying, reduce aggression and makes kids stick up for other kids--it sounds amazing. Has anyone been in a Roots of Empathy class with a baby or know anyone who has?

I am a grandmother & this program was not around when my kids were in school, nor do I have grand kids in the program, but upon reading the info at the following link, I think it is a worth while program & I would encourage parents & teachers to get involved.
