How/Can I be a morgue assistant?

First off, im looking for a morgue anywhere in the Northen Illinois area. I've searched everywhere.

I'm 18yrs old & want to get a career in motuary science and such. Im still in highschool and was wondering if it is possible to get any sort of starting job in a morgue. Or autopsy assistant.

Would working at a funeral home possibly get me closer?

Any suggestions would be great.

    I am planning on being a mortician, in my state the requirements are 2 years of regular college, 2 - 4 years of mortuary science college, and 1 year of a apprenticeship in a morgue. I'm sure an assistant would have to do some of that to meet the requirements. You could call a funeral home and ask them though.

    Go to school for it. They make lots of money
