I would like to know why libs still say Bush stole the election & he lied about the WMD's?

I'm not a great fan of Bush, but I do look at reality. I never saw how he stole the election. What exactly did he do to "steal it". The results were gone over with a fine tooth comb and the courts decided who won. Do you guys think Bush had some sort of influence over the courts because I sure don't. Now about the WMD's that you say he lied about. Poor information is NOT lying. The fact is the Iraq's DID have WMD's and that has been proven. We just don't know where they went. Since the start of the war, we also have found a lot of evidence of WMD use. To tell you the truth, I don't think those that continue to say such stuff know what the words stole and lie actually mean. Perhaps we should say Obama stole the election because Acorn had a lot of false voter registration. This is the same rational as some libs use. So bring it on and you tell me exactly how he stole the election and how he lied. I can't wait.

[ President Bush, who has occasionally lamented that he regrets some of the tough talk he uttered in the war on terror - terms such as "dead or alive'' or "bring 'em on'' - also allows that the flawed intelligence surrounding Saddam Hussein's alleged weapons of mass destruction was the "biggest regret of all the presidency.''

"I think I was unprepared for war," Bush told ABC News' Charlie Gibson in an interview conducted at Camp David and airing tonight on World News. "In other words, I didn't campaign and say, 'Please vote for me, I'll be able to handle an attack.' In other words, I didn't anticipate war.

"Presidents -- one of the things about the modern presidency is that the unexpected will happen,'' the retiring, 43rd president says in the ABC interview.

On that flawed WMD intel: "A lot of people put their reputations on the line and said the weapons of mass destruction is a reason to remove Saddam Hussein. It wasn't just people in my administration. A lot of members in Congress, prior to my arrival in Washington, D.C., during the debate on Iraq, a lot of leaders of nations around the world were all looking at the same intelligence.

"I wish the intelligence had been different, I guess," Bush added - asked if he still would have gone to war if he knew that Iraq did not possess those weapons. "That is a do-over that I can't do.'']

Why did Bush, on December 1, 2008, admit that the intelligence was flawed and that there were no WMDs if there WERE WMD's.

Are you saying he is lying?

To support your question, The US just moved 53 metric tons of Yellow

Cake uranium out of Iraq to Canada, this was the same yellow cake

the MSM said was not there, due to the Niger report, Now how does

that happen. The left forgets something when bush and gore were

tied up in the courts. It was the Democrats that forced the issue.

And after the courts decided, Florida had a complete Bi part group

of dems and Pubs go through the counties in quesiton, Bush won

hands down. These are just minor little things they just can't seem

    to grasp.

I am not a fan of Bush either. I do not think he stole the election or lied about Iraq. But he is a very ignorant man, how he got voted in twice is beyond me. I honestly don't think Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, the weapons we found were weapons we gave to Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war that last 8 years. Yes, he did take out a horrible dictator but at the same time terrorism has escalated in the middle east especially by Pakistan. He was then foolish enough to give India nuclear technology even though India and Pakistan have been close to nuclear war many times. There are many more issues with this guy I could talk about. People watch to much of the news and believe everything the news throws out there.

Sweety, I am a Republican and Bush did steal the election. He didn't lie about the WMD. I remember before we invaded Iraq that alot of ships left Iraq as CNN reported. I don't know what they were carrying but we never found out. Also we have found MIG'S barried under the sand there. It is only a matter of time before we find something else.

For someone that is not such a great fan of Bush, you sure slant your retelling of history in his favor.

Regarding WMD: The 'bad intel' was purposely cherry-picked and relied upon thru the pressure of Cheney and Rumsfeld and the Defense Department's Office of Intelligence that was headed by Douglas Feith even though the CIA had discredited the intel and/or the sources of the intel long prior to such reliance. The 'cabal', as they were referred to by Col. Lawrence Wilkerson who was the former Dean of the War College and Colin Powell's chief of staff, let nothing stand in the way of their commitment to creating a basis for the invasion of Iraq and Bush listened ONLY to their counsel and ignored Colin Powell and George Tenet (although Tenet eventually caved because he cared more about being in the inner circle than the truth.) Secondly, Paul O'Neil, former Secretary of the Treasury stated from day one of the Administration there were discussions regarding going in and toppling Saddam. Andrew Card stated that starting in September, 2002 they were 'marketing' the war and that is exactly what Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice did to convince Congress and the American people that Saddam was a great danger despite the shoddy basis for their assertions. Bush either lied or purposely tuned out all information to the contrary. He was not some 'innocent dupe' of bad intel. Give me a break.

Regarding 'stealing the election': The Republican Party and the Bush campaign did everything in their power to stop the physical recount of ballots in Florida. Subsequent analyses that you apparently have never read have concluded that given a thorough analysis of the ballots that were discarded that Gore would have won. Therefore, that is why people accuse Bush of 'stealing the election'. That may or not be an accurate charge, but there is definitely a reason for people to feel that he did so.

You are a little behind the times. Its 2008... btw, Bush did get an assist on his 2000 win in Florida and he LIE about WMDs. The administration is slowly 'fessing up about that. Where have you been?

No you don't, not really. See what I mean you ask, and then answer, yours is opinion and is all - to - often what passes for so-called Q/A 's here where (like that election in 2000 ) the out come is already known.

Just remember by a plural of just one vote ( SC 5/4) 500,000 votes were nullified...now that's theft.

liberals know if you repeat a lie long enough it becomes the truth. Bush won both elections, and it was the liberals that had to make a mockery of it because they couldn't accept the truth, funny the say the supreme court stole it,please tell me when Gore was in the lead? he never had more votes then bush in florida. but watch if Franken wins by a few votes they won't complain one bit. liberals are hypocrites

I voted for Bush in 2000 and I certainly don't consider myself a liberal, and I never say that BUSH stole any election. But I DO say that the Supreme Court stole election 2000 for Bush. The Court clearly should not have intervened in that election dispute.
