I recently was diagnosed with type II diabeties and was driving commercial vehicles(bus) for the past 15 years?
SO my question is if I'm not able to drive any more and have to make a career change what field should i go in ?should I stay in the transportation industry ?or start something all together different?

Are there openings related to transportation? Like dispatcher or something? If not, I guess you will have to make a career change.

Are you sure they won't let you drive anymore, even if your doc vouches for you that you are in control? Some professions will allow you to keep your job conditionally provided the doc writes a letter for you. But if not, contact your local unemployment office. They often have retraining programs for people in your position, where they can set you up with free or low-cost training for a different career such as something in the medical industry.

Unless you are on insulin or are having regular hypoglycaemic attacks you shouldn't have a problem driving. You will need to inform the DVLA though.

my neighbor tried to get her cdl for driving buses and the only reason she couldn't was because she had her blood sugar crash twice in the last year. if you can keep good control of your sugar you should be fine to drive
