So, if I'm a gay atheist lumberjack..?

...does that mean I really won't be getting a Christmas Card from the Pope this year?

"Pope Benedict XVI has said that saving humanity from homosexual or transsexual behaviour is just as important as saving the rainforest from destruction. "

Don't panic. I don't actually put on women's clothing and hang around in bars. I just like a man who does. The other Palin.

XD LMFAO @ "The other Palin." I have to correct you there, my friend. That's the ONLY Palin you're referring to. There's been talk of a "woman" living in Alaska, but we all know she's an android sent over the Bering Strait...you know, because them Russians can see Alaska from where they're standing.

I wouldn't expect cards from da' Pope anyway though...he tends to view the whole "communicating with the unwashed heathens" as a form of blasphemy. Why, I haven't heard from him since that business with the sacramental wine after midday mass.

I got a Christmas card from Pope Benedict. Lets just say I will never look at a thong the same way again... I hope the afterlife has some good psychiatrists.

I personally would not want a card from such a bigot whose ideals about supposedly saving society frighten me. Pope Benedict can say anything he wants on the subject based on his personal beliefs. I do not have to agree with him, support him, or the organization he represents. I also do think his opinion should have any influence in government at all. He claims to be a follower of Jesus. I think Jesus' priority would be to help the poor, ill, and hungry rather than supporting discrimination against homosexuality.

I think Pope Benedict and the other monsters who share his limited world view need to get their priorities straight and use their resources to help their followers who truly need it.

Don't worry about the pope. He was really a disappointment to me. I had hoped that maybe with him the Catholics would pull their heads out of the sand, see the real world for what it is, and make changes for the better. But as it turned out he was worse than his predecessors.

Your quote from him about saving humanity from homosexual behavior sort of puts him in the same league as Fred Phelps, doesn't it?

Isn't he dead yet? Deceased? Ceasing to exist?

Ah, the old transsexuals and trees argument. What is it about religious people and plants? Mustard seeds, nailing people to planks of wood, burning freaking bushes...

Maybe you're going to get a Christmas Ecard from the Pope instead, since he's so concerned about saving the trees and all.

The other Palin, eh? Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more, say no more!

You usually get a christmas card from the pope?

  • 1 decade ago

I guess not. Some of the Christian/Catholic views are outdated (no offense to any Christian/Catholics). But since you're an atheist, i suppose the Pope's position doesn't matter. It's okay to be gay, and lumberjacks are 200% badass.

    Stay ballin.

if that is why you don't get a Christmas card from the pope then there are a lot of gay atheist lumberjacks in the world. LOL

You've gotten Christmas Cards from the Pope before?

How do you do that? I get them from the White House, but all I had to do to get on that list was sign up on their website.

Let me know how you got those, even if you don't get one this year.

I guess the pope has his work cut out for him considering that at least half of his priests are gay.
