I'd just like to thank everyone for helping me!!! ?
Hi..
I just gave birth to twins on the 21st. I had em at 35 wks 5 days...
They were 4 lbs 6 oz and 4 lbs 8 oz... They were perfectly healthy and they are already home with us!
I'm gonna make this a somewhat question so I don't get in trouble.. EPIDURAL OR NO EPIDURAL? WHAT IS YOU PLAN AND WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU COULDN"T GET ONE?
I went into labor on the 21st at about 4 am. I woke my husband up at about 5:30 am.. We got to the hosp. about 6:10 am.. Well by the time I got there I was 8 cm dilated and wasn't able to get an epidural.. So I had to give birth naturally to twins.. God, did that hurt! Baby A came head first weighing a whoppin 4 lbs 6 oz, and then Baby B came BREECH! weighing 4 lbs 8 oz. It was very scary and very hard to push out that second one.. LOL..
I had a 2 hr labor. I didn't have to get any stitched, I don't have not one stretch mark..and no epidural. I'm so happy and so proud of myself... LOL..
Like I said I just wanted to thank everyone on the preg. section for helping me and wanted to tell my birth story real quick..
SO ANSWER THE QUESTION PLEASE!
Yeah, they only had to stay 48 hrs because they were breathing good, had 8/9 apgars, passed their tests, had good temps, good blood sugar, ate well, etc. etc. There aren't any health conditions with them at all.
They didn't say anything special for preemies. BTW: Preemie and newborn diapers are like almost the exact same size and even the preemie diapers are huge on them.. So go ahead and just get newborn, because it's more diaper for your money.. : )

Congrats! I'm glad to see that you and they did so well. How is your other baby adjusting?
I'm am for the epidural sfm! It's a life saver. Of course, both of my babies are cows, 8lbs 4oz and 9lbs 2oz. I was stitched in four different directions with the second!

I am one of the people who answered your original question. Congrats, well done :)
I was ok, with mild period like pain from 1 am until 4pm then my waters broke then it really hit. By the time i got to the hospital I was in sevre pain with Nausea and Vomiting. They wouldn't give me gas because of the nausea. I was offered pethidine or epidural, I choose the epidural and glad I did because after that I had a fantastic birth. I gave birth at 1am. Not quite as fast as yours, but I had no let down/ pain free time between contractions.

Good luck hun! Thats weird that they let you bring them home. At my hospital they won't let ya go until they hit 5 lbs! What have your doctors told you about them being preemies? I'm high risk for having my little girl prematurely due to Placenta Abruption. I would really like to know. I know you need preemie diapers and I bought some preemie pacifiers online.

I'm not currently pregnant, but I plan to have an epidural. If I couldn't get one, I'd be pretty mad, but I guess I'd just push through the pain.
Congrats on your little ones!

AAawwww congrats on your new arrivals!!! for me yes Epidural. I had it for my 1st and depending on how labor with this one goes, i'll get it again.. hopefully it's quicker and less intense than my first that way i can go drug free

i had an epidural with my first, a late epidural with my second (so yeah i felt everything), was only half numb with my third (only numb on my left side) and my last one I had the epidural, but it wasn't very strong.
