Can pregnant women eat pie made with liquor?
I made a sweet potato pie with amaretto in it. Is it ok for pregnant women to eat?

Instead of just assuming that I'm a horrible person, you could take into account that this question was posted on Christmas Eve and maybe I'm not the only person eating the pie. NO. I am not pregnant. My sister is. ALSO your answer conflicts with every other answer to this question that actually has a decent source. and yes obviously i was unsure and that is why I asked the question.
thanks for nothing

why, are you preggers? hmmmm??
Fruitcake and alcoholic desserts – Avoid fruitcake and other desserts that have been soaked in rum or other liquor after baking. If the dessert uses liquor in the ingredients, most of the alcohol probably burned off during cooking, so it’s most likely safe to eat.

If you are the pregnant one, my advice is just eat it, it really does not have enough alcohol in it for it to be any kind of risk.
If you're serving it to someone else, let them know it has alcohol in it so they can make the choice for themselves. Not everyone is comfortable with it, even though there is basically no risk of FAS.

Whether you can eat it or not, your obv uncertain about it, cuz your posted this question. If you have to ask.. the answer is HELL NO!!! Do whatever you want when you pop the baby out, but while your caring an helpless unborn child.. don’t be stupid… omg I feel soo sorry for that baby.. its mother is suppose to be so cautious about everything.. and shes on YA! Asking if she can have some pie that was made with alcohol.. dear god.. please bless that poor poor baby!!!

I would have eaten it for sure when i was pregnant. I don't suppose it has that much in. Also if it was cooked with the alcohol in a lot would have burnt off

I think quite often in cooking the alchohol is actualy cooked out of the food, but if you are worried then just decline politely and wait until your not pregnant anymore. :)

The baking evaporates the alcohol. So basically it is only flavoring after baking
