So, what do you think Obama will do about?

Given his background and the things we are seeing, what do you think?

Although I am in no way a Republican supporter, I cannot see Obama sustaining enough confidence and displaying the god-like leadership that so many believe he has.

I believe that Obama will get a big pass from a lot of Americans, especially the young ones and the minorities. But after about 2 years, the proof will be hard to ignore. There will still be a huge unemployment gap. The housing market will not be stable because the financial sector will not be stable. Automakers will still be in trouble and energy prices will still be high without a substantial energy program to keep them in check. With all of Obama's spending that he will have to do to stave off a major recession, interest rates will have to be kept low, as well as tax hikes. This will drive up the national debt and inflation. Inflation is being kept low now because retailers around the globe are cutting costs to try to get the few consumers with buying power to spend what they have. They will not be able to keep these discounts up for long.

So the situation in 2010, I predict, will look like this. Unemployment between 8-10%, inflation inching toward 10-15%, a yearly budget deficit eclipsing 1.5 trillion dollars. A national debt equaling that of America's economy at 14 trillion dollars. A financial sector skittish about loaning anything to anyone or any company. Small businesses crushed by lack of loan options. Local and state governments going bankrupt and letting go of important infrastructure personnel. Small towns becoming ghost towns due to rising fuel costs. Utility companies around the country going under because of a lack of investment in infrastructure and rising fuel costs. Obama will have stopped the bleeding, but the blood that will ahve already been lost will be too much to try to gain back within two years time and the American people will not be patient enough to allow Obama more than one term.

This is really not Obama's fault as these chain of events that got us here where set in motion years before his election. All the way dating back to the Reagan Administration when he devised that creating a national debt was godo for the country and then through the first Bush when tax cuts became precedent over paying down debts. It even goes to the greedy American people who would rahter have 10 credit cards and a cell phone instead of a stable job and home they can afford. Until the thinking in this country changes, these problems will not go away no matter who is President.

He was planning a massive spending for almost about 1trillion dollars. Too many projects that he planned to accomplished at the same time (my opinion is, you can't do so much at the same time) might end up not accomplishing any. I don't believe in a massive spending in this kind of economic turmoil, but obviously he has a plan (hopefully it will work). There are lot of things that went unanswered yet, and hopefully he has to connection with Blagojevich scandal. Both Obama and Blagojevich are tied to Tony Rezco, so we will see, what's gonna be the outcome of the trouble politician Chicago style. Otherwise, I wish him well during his tenure!

As most of the country , libs mostly, can only talk about race relations and how Obama will improve them, maybe its time for reality. I know reality is the thing we are supposed to ignore, but what happens when he fails, what does that do for race relations. The bigots and people who dislike BO for his race will simply laugh and say told you so. People who dislike Obama simply because they have a functioning brain have probably already seen the writing on the wall.

    About what?

    BO's a train wreck.

Keep your eyes on the poor little dems as he disappoints them at every turn. Very entertaining.
