probably the multifunction switch which is the turn-signal, hazard switch, cruise, wiper, etc.

Hazard lights use the same bulb filament as the brake lights. So if your brake lights work, it's not the bulbs. The taillights and dash lights are the same circuit. (usually) So if your dash lights don't work as well as the taillights,it is something common to both. I know you checked fuses but be sure to look for an additional fuse panel. There is usually one under the dash and one under the hood. It could be a flasher. The whole circuit goes through it. But be sure, taillights not working, and brakelights/flashers not working, are two different problems. Let me know more details of what you messed with if you need more help.

Sounds Like your on the right path. The brake ,turn & hazard lights are all on the same circuit & use the same elements in bulbs . You fix one you fix all of them. My bet is your turn signal switch in your steering wheel. The hazard switch is working right from what you said . If your flashers are on your brake lights won't work. they are on the same circuit . Electrical problems can drive you crazy if you let them .

If you have front but no rear sounds like it couldl be a wiring prob.. Check you signal light switch, could also be a prob.
