What are the most disappointing movies you've ever seen?
The ones that you can't wait to see or something that gets tons of hype, then you watch it and want your money back. Here are a few of mine I just want to vent about.
The Silence of the Lambs
I kept waiting for something scary to happen. The movie ended and I thought "that was it?"
White Christmas
A couple years ago we broke the tradition of watching A Christmas Story & It's a Wonderful on Christmas Eve, so we could watch another "classic." It was pretty much the most boring movie I've ever seen.
Evan Almighty
Bruce Almighty was good and Steve Carrell is funny in the office so I thought this would be a good one. The parts that were supposed to be funny were like Evan smashing his hand with a hammer over and over, just stupid stuff. And so many things in the movie just didn't make sense. Like, the flood was just a local flood where the dam broke so why did he need all those animals on the ark? And what was the point of him growing a beard and wearing a robe?
Mr. Bean's Holiday
The First Mr. Bean movie was great and his tv show was hilarious, so I was really excited when I heard about this new one. There were a few funny parts, but most of it was dumb. The story line was all over the place and at the end they all just start singing and dancing in French out of nowhere. It was really weird.
The Blair Witch Project
I've heard a lot of people say this is the scariest movie of all time. Far from it. But I think it would have helped if I didn't know it was all acting before I watched it. I think when the movie first came out, a lot of people were lead to believe that it was real footage found on a camcorder in the woods, so it freaked them out a little bit.
The Dirty Dozen
Don't anybody kill me, but this movie just didn't movie me like I think it was supposed to. It needed music or something.
Lord of the Rings (the 1st one)
It just seemed like it would never end!
Pirates of the Caribbean
It was allright. But I think I would like it a lot more if I were like 5.
Jackass 2 and 1/2
I thought the first two were crazy! But there was nothing too exciting about this one. Flying a kite with anal beats, farting with powder on their butts, stuff like that. It was really just all the stuff they did that wasn't good enough to put on Jackass 2.
A Clockwork Orange
It was just really weird. That's all I remember.
Little Miss Sunshine
People were saying this is one of the best movies of the decade. It was just all this depressing stuff and then the little girl strips at the end. Nothing special really.

"The Happening" I thought it couldn't get much worse for M. Night Shamalyan after "Lady in the Water". Boy was I wrong.

The Village It was stupid and one the the least frightning scary movies I have ever seen I wanted my money back after all the hype
Cabin Fever if it had been hyped as a gross film maybe I wouldn't have been so dissappointed but I thought it was supposed to be scary
Darkness Falls I wanted to go see a scary movie not pay money to listen to a radio show couldn't see half the movie because it took place in the dark
Frantic he seemed more like he was mildly concerned not frantic to find his wife

Ooooh interesting. I'm gunna have to say Napolean Dynamite... don't get me wrong. The character was entertaining... but the movie as a whole.. yeh I didn't think it was great, I found it boring but it's just my opinion. I totally agree with "Little Miss Sunshine" and "The Blair Witch project"!! <- try Pan's Labyrinth or even 1408 or the Happening. Blair Witch didn't do anything!

The Village- Most overrated and boring movie I have seen in along time.
Cloverfield- All that hype for a second rate Godzilla flick (leave the monster flicks to the Japanese studios Hollywood).
Meet The Spartans- Not funny at all.
Wanted- Other than seeing Angelinas backside not a good movie. (They better not mess up Watchmen)
Any movie with Tom Cruise in it. (You see one Tom Cruise role and you've seen them all cause they all the bloody same person).

Mannn.... :( Quantum of Solace was the biggest letdown ever. After the amazing Casino Royale, they made this pile of garbage that i was expecting to be a sequel to look forward to, like The Dark Knight was. But Quantum of Solace was a plotless, all about action and looking cool, disappointment. So I vote that for the worst disappointment ever, considering the fact that I'm still crying at night because of it.

Running with Scissors - I absolutely loved loved loved the book, but the movie just did it no justice.
the number 23 - just didn't like it... and it never mentioned dr. pepper's 23 flavors...
Wicker man - awesome build up, but the end was just 'eh', and the end of a movie makes it or breaks it
The simpsons movie - it was like a really long not-so-great simpsons episode
the strangers - it was intense as far as making you feel uncomfortable, but not nearly as scary or entertaining as it looked
