How best to tackle acne on the body?

hi there,

i'm a 21 year old male and i've had these pimples around my shoulder area (upper chest, shoulders, upper back, neck) for some years now. the face is fine though. tanning helps (the acne almost disappears when i get a tan), but it's winter now and i don't feel entirely comfortable with tanning salons. incidentally, whats the consensus on tanning salons and spray on tans?

might it be the vitamin D that the skin releases from exposure to UV that helps me in the summer (since the acne almost disappears then)? should i be taking vitamin D tablets? how about a certain body scrub?

thanks,

jay

Sorry i cant with the acne but I wouldnt take a vitamin D because the body doesnt have such a good way of getting rid of it. Just a couple minute in the sun gives you all you need. What i would suggest it Fish Oil. Hope I Helped

Try one of those over-the-counter body acne kits... You can get them at any drugstore they come with a pill (vitamin), a wash or scrub & a cream usually salicylic acid cream... they come in kits for men and women for faces or body... it has worked for me. If that doesn't work and it's really that bad, see your family doc for antibiotics and differin cream
