A prayer for better times?

I am not going to sit here in judgment and say who is right and who is wrong in reference to this conflict between Israel and Gaza.

I would just like to say that I think we should all hope and pray for better days.

And that maybe the lives lost will not be in vain, that in their memory those in power will agree to a permanent settlement which will allow both sides to live in peace and freedom.

I will always pray for the day when we could all live together in peace, including the Arabs and the Jews. I have been a war refugee in Lebanon in 2006 and most of the people I saw that died were children who were under 8 years old. Let me ask you this: Why do children have to die because of the decisions made by ignorant leaders?!?! When I was in Lebanon, I met a girl who had lost her entire family except for her brother and uncle due to the war. And what happens to the people who have lost their family members, even after the fighting has stopped? The hate still continues to brew in their hearts, because they still remember the losses they endured and this will lead to more war and more hate. I can't say I love Israel, because it is because of them that I was forced to leave Lebanon and immigrate to a new land, but ultimately, what benefit does hate give us?

Mankind has been fighting ever since creation, yet we still have not realized that fighting doesn't resolve anything. Inshallah, one day we can all truly live in peace.

You aren't going to sit and judge but you propose praying for terrorists? Yes, terrorists, at least 100 of them.

I'm sorry that any innocents die (gaza killed 2 themselves yesterday but there was no prayer or investigation).

Do you think these people were getting together to plan next year's secret santa? No. They were planning more attacks. Israel saw them all together in a nest and took the chance.

Nobody is disagreeing that Israel saved some of its own people's lives by this.. they are only disagreeing on whether or not Jews are worth saving.

this is sick and wrong thinking.

IT IS NOT WHO IS RIGHT, OR WHO WON!! You can say Israel killed more etc etc, but you should be looking at how Gaza does nothing to protect its own people.

if you care you would be looking at how they actually do the opposite, put their people in harms way (as we saw yesterday)

Source(s): pray for these girls: http://www.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=96028 Sisters no less.. forgotten.

i guess u r right , and im sure that they will be mentioned in history as champions who were the reason of the end of the occupation and the reason for some peace to overcome the blood that has been spilt into the streets of the whole region.

I Pray Hamas is finally defeated. That's the best I could wish for both sides.

That would mean better times. I don't expect it to get any better just different.
