The church was nice, I like the cool tones and static composition, although it is underexposed. Wish the lights had been on inside, imagine it with golden glowing windows shining over the snow If you can, plan to return at twilight when it's lit inside. Take a tripod and shoot it again. The dog is handsome, is he yours? Would have been better either closer for a head shot, or farther away to get the entire body, as it is he is cut in half awkwardly. The others are fine for your album, but are mediocre snaps which appear to have been made without much thought or planning. That's OK, doesn't mean you can't be a great photographer some day. True, you do have a mediocre camera, and you will be limited in some of the things you can do. But you can learn the basics of composition and lighting even with the most basic tools. You have a lot to learn and you are at the beginning of your journey. Take a class or join a photography club if you can. Look in the library or book store for books on beginning photography. Browse places like www.photo.net, kodak.com, and betterphoto.com to see galleries of good images and read the how-tos, tips, and forums. Then keep learning and practicing. As your knowledge grows, your work and skills will improve.

I think my favourites are the dog and the church :)

But all of them are amazing.

You're an EXCELLENT photographer and seeing that your only 15, you'll be amazing when you get older.

You could definitely be a professional and (i think that)it's good that you're doing this now because if you start early then you'll get better and better and by the time you can take your photography somewhere you'll be AMAZING.

    I hope I helped.

Oh and edit the 4th one :) it's very good I just think that you'd be good at editing it.

So yeah I hope I helped, good luck! Goodbye!

Pretty decent. I don't think there was a flash on the dog. It was just a bit over exposed though. In that picture a flash may have actually been better to "fill in" the light in some areas.

Some of the others are bad focus but you are doing great. Better than mine!

The shots themselves are okay, but you need to learn to work with different settings to produce better picture.

For instance - in the first shot, (it's hard to tell because the photo is now black and white) it seems as if you used the flash when it was unnecessary. Whatever you did, a few areas of the dog's fur are too bright and a bit washed out.

In the other images, some are too blurry (such as the eye) or too dark(such as the church).

You just need to keep trying and experiment with different settings - adjusting ISO, aperture, et cetera. If you just have a typical point-and-shoot camera and are shooting in auto, try expanding to a better camera. Some point and shoot digital cameras have adjustable ISO and aperture, though, so it's worth playing around with.

    1. No. dull light, washed-out sky, top of tree chopped off, you need still water fior a reflection, which you haven't got here. 2. No. Stupid angle. 3. No. Subject is too small in the frame, and lost. 4. No. Underexposed and boring. 5. Passable. Lighting not ideal. 6. No. See 3. 7. No. Muddy, murky pool in the most uninspiring dull light imaginable, with a washed-out overexposed sky and absolutely no point of interest for the viewer. 8. Passable record shot in interesting light, but a dull, static composition with too much dead foreground. Honest enough for you?

haha, they're ok for the fact that you don't have thousands of dollars invested in your gear. you definitely have a lot of things you need to work on.

photo 4 makes me think you like sharp eye photos...

if you don't have one make a flickr account, and post photos on there, it's a great way to show off your work.
