Help! My shower water smells like Poo!!?
I just bought a 5 year old home and went to take a shower and the water smells like sewage. It is coming out clear and I have only noticed it in the shower water, no other faucets. Any idea what the problem could be? Should I call the city (sewage co.) or a plumber?

Pull the anode rod on your water heater, I'll bet its very black and pitted to beat the band, if there's much left of it at all. If you have to replace it, there are different kinds of rods, depending on your water. I'm betting that's your problem. You only notice it in the shower because a) Its only the hot water and b)the shower head is spraying the water and your getting the most atomization there.

Showering two times or greater an afternoon is definitely very undesirable on your hair and dermis and could certainly reason your physique to OVERPRODUCE that is organic oils through fact they are continuously being stripped away via chemical compounds. This overproduction reasons a appropriate atmosphere for micro organism to enhance on your physique inflicting you to stink. i could propose taking fewer showers and staying removed from soaps and shampoos with harsh chemical compounds. it may look counter-intuitive, yet I had an identical concern you had and at last I study no-poo and no cleansing soap techniques and now I infrequently scent till I exercising vigorously. additionally once you first start to purpose those techniques it may worsen for the reason that your physique is used to overproducing that is oils, yet after each week or 2 it is going to return to a classic point and you will observe which you do no longer stink as lots.

If it's the shower water it would seem that it's coming from another source, but not likely. The poop smell may be coming from the shower drain.
