Nudist, licensed Ham, member of Mensa, certified nut job I'm a veteran, served in Korea. Did you know that technically, we are still at war with North Korea. No treaty has ever been signed, only a cease fire agreement, that gets violated daily by both sides. I used to be a Sears Service Tech many years ago. • How do I create a batch file to execute a windows based program AND enter a username and password?

I can create the batch file to start the program, but once the program starts it pops a login window which prompts a username and password. I'd like for the batch file to enter the username and password to finish launching the program without any user interaction. I know it can be done but don't know the proper syntax.

This is to launch a remote viewing program for security camera's on a watch desk that will be manned by random people without special skills. All other actions on the computer will be admin'd out.

  • Where does the phrase "Don't drink the Kool-Aid" originate from?

I've used that phrase myself and have seen it used by others but it suddenly occurred to me that it might be one of those phrases that nobody knows why it means what it means.

  • How do you know that Gravity its an attractive force?

I mean aside from the fact that its always been taught that way. How do we really know for sure that its an attractive force created by objects of mass as opposed to a repulsive force interfered with by objects of mass. It seems to me that the rules of gravity are based on observations in net effect.

  • What is going on with my 7.3L Diesel, what would be the most likely cause?

89 F250 XLT with 237K on the motor.

I'm coming home from work. Stop at a T intersection, make a left turn. Proceed to accelerate uphill. and all of a sudden, its like someone switched off the key. I coast to a stop, pop the hood, drop the fuel filter, its full. Spritz some ether into the air cleaner, turn it over...... Na da... Motor seems to turn over MUCH faster. Strikes me as a sudden loss of compression. So I'm thinking timing chain or Cam, but I'm no diesel mechanic. What say all of you? (About the motor - not me)

  • Do you miss 360 because of the blogging, or because of the way you could manage your profile and page?

I just got through a slightly spirited discussion with a friend of mine who was staunchly defending the new profiles page. Their argument was that since yahoo is rolling out a new blogging site, and agreeably, 360 was severely inferior for blogging, that everything was just smurfy.

I'm not a blogger. I used 360 mainly for a profile page. I suspect many of you did the same. I couldn't get them to understand that for a profile page, the new profiles S U C K <<< in my humble opinion. What does blogging have to do with Answers anyway.

Do you want 360 back for the profile management or the blogs?

  • Which do you prefer, Yahoo 360 or the new Yahoo Profiles?

Should Yahoo abandon forcing the new profiles on us and go back to using 360 for the user platform, or should they continue with the transition to the new profiles pages for the user platform.

My vote is for 360. My opinion is the new profiles system is problematic and restrictive

  • Nudist/Naturist question for non-nudist/naturist?

If winter coats were illegal, would you freeze in the winter because it was socially expected of you, or would you put on a coat for comfort, even though it was breaking the law.

I understand that all things being equal, we should all be clothed when in public, but if it gets very hot outside, requiring people to wear clothes to me is like forbidding them to wear coats in the winter. The human body has evolved to use evaporative cooling, clothing interferes with that. Mandating clothing when people are dying from the heat strikes me as irrisponsible. So the question really is, is social responsibility worth endanging ones life.

  • 2012 Do you think (or hope) than those stupid end of the world questions will stop on Dec 22, 2012?

Or do you think people will just find some other fantastical thing to worry and gossip about.

  • Was eating of the apple from the Tree of Knowledge the first sin, or was it the birth of sin?

Before they ate the apple, they we're without sin, they had no knowledge of sin. Even up to the point of taking a bite, they didn't know. Now I realize that God had said not to, but if you do something without knowing it's wrong, is it really bad. Agreed that after obtaining knowledge, the bar went way up, but was it actually a sin itself, or was it actually just the singular action which made man a sinner.

I couldn't figure out how to make this a poll in this section. I'm looking for opinions so don't link me to death, I'm interested in what you think and why. Please don't be disparaging against other answerers. I will pick for BA one that is accompanied with a good, coherent, and brief supportive statement.
