Too many hollywood movies distort one's perception of reality. Somehow the villain is always the strong and the hero is the weak. Easier to sympathize with the Palestinians in such a case. Only that people tend to forget that the reason one side is weak and another is strong, is because one side invested in their economy and society, while the other invested in weapons to wage war.

There were over 2,900 rockets and mortars shot from Gaza into Israel since the beginning of the year. If they had invested that money in food, medication and rebuilding the infastructure, they'd be in a much better place. Infact, Israel always gives aid and releases prisoners when the Palestinian authority chooses to have peace negotiations, just look at the west bank and all the tributes Israel has given them lately. But apparently people prefer to see this war continue so they won't get bored. So they keep supporting their own ideology: Say no to food, say yes to shooting rockets on innocent civilians.

I doubt there are many who actually hate Israel as far as the population of the world goes. Hamas is a different story. I heard that even Egypt was supporting Israel in the quest to stop the attacks between the two countries. This is no ones fight but the folks who live there. As far as the comment made by one person, that the Jews can go live elsewhere since they can buy anything (I paraphrase) that is a total misconception. Couldn't one say the same thing about the Arabs with all their oil wealth? Truth is, there are poor people of every race, nationality, and ethnicity.

I realize that most people love their homeland no matter what the circumstances - Siberia, the Sahara, the Amazon jungle, Gaza - but for the life of me, I can't see living in any of those places.

Your medias misinform you and say that Palestinians are terrorists , yet they in no way point out what Israel squaddies do to the youngsters and ladies persons in Palestine , they kill them in 1000's each month , and whilst they attempt to combat decrease back , they call them terrorists , this is the actual fact , Jews hate Islam and attempt to kill each Muslim . The only reason the attacks on the Gaza Strip are being reported is because of the prior attacks Hamas made on Israel. Rarely do I see or hear anti-Israel propaganda. I would think almost everyone who isn't a Muslim supports the Zionist cause.

First of all I'm a Pakistani who strongly condemns Terrorism, I don't like Hamas at all, in fact I think they're arrogant, stupid idiots but go figure... I also am not a fan of many Arabs because for some reason, they have a problem with my people, so those Arabs can go to hell for all I care.

I also don't like Israel so I'm going to be pretty unbiased in this even though I'm a Muslim. I don't hate people as a whole, in fact my girlfriend is half Palestinian, and I did like a Jewish girl before. I don't think its smart to condemn a whole race at once so I'm not spreading any racial hate speak.

Firstly, look at the casualty ratio. Over 100 rockets were fired from Hamas, and one was killed, seven were injured. Hamas is ridiculously stupid for wasting ammunition like so and hardly doing anything... In fact, why the hell even fire rockets if you're just going to hit land?! Also, Israel is stupid for justifying a massive bombing run campaign on Palestine because of this casualty amount.

Secondly, Starting an all out war with Hamas is not going to work. Are you telling me Israel can crush a rebellion when the greatest armies (United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Pakistan, Turkey, etc) can't do so in Afghanistan? I really don't know because the Arab people don't really possess combat prowess like the bastard lion Pashtuns in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but if they're anything like them, then Israel will be sorry because it will have to keep an ongoing campaign against the Hamas militants until... Oh wait, they'll never die out. It'll be a stalemate all over again.

Thirdly, Palestine was populated by Muslims when Islam was invented and spread throughout the Arab lands

Fourthly, Maybe you didn't know, but the Israeli Jews were terrorists back in the days of British Colonization of Palestine. The Jews launched countless terrorist acts against Palestine so the Israeli people are not this sort of squeaky clean innocent group of people. They have been given hand outs just because of the Holocaust.

Fifthly, Hamas needs to take a page out of my people's books. Haven't they heard of something called NONVIOLENT PROTEST?!?! Its pretty simple, its effective, as we've seen African American's gain rights, India getting annexed from Britain, etc. We all know that Arabs will fight till their blood stops flowing through their stubborn heads, they don't need to prove anything more. Listen up Hamas, you're fighters and tactics are horrible, just stop it now and take a page out of history. Or at least learn to calibrate friggin rockets.

Was Israel's action justified? Hell no. Is Hamas innocent? Hell no.

It's because Israelis are cruel and greedy--stealing land from the poor. Jews can live anywhere in the world and have the money to buy plenty of land elsewhere, but, no. they have been trying for more than 50 years to squeeze every inch out of Palestinians.

EDIT:

The Jewish population of Palestine only 100 years ago was no more than 5%. Jews were living in Europe during the time of Jesus! A land is not the property of any religion. If you are gone by your own free will for more than two generations, you forfeit the right to return.

Quick question here. How come when mulims use religion to justify violence they are called animals and terrorists, but when israel (a jewish state, mind you) uses religion and call upon God to protect them they are called heroes and brave warriors? a bit hypocritical? After what the jewish people went through 70 years ago, you think they would be a bit more peaceful and understanding. The abused have become the abusers.

Why should we stop? I guess one reason is we don't like it when isreal takes advantage over the voiceless. I dont think that they would give their lives for a cause or for their country unlike the palestines. They are selfish that way.

As an outsider we hate it when innocent baby, father, grandmas, and mothers are killed.
