How do you pronounce "Xcaret"?
Xcaret is an amusement park in Mexico and my husband and I can't agree on how it is pronounced. Does anyone know?

Icks-Car-Ette.
Mikey and the first poster are pretty much right... if you combine their answers :) For the 'X', there is an 'Ick' and 'S' sound (sounds like 'icks')
The rest is pretty much pronounced just as it's spelled.

X in Mayan words is pronounced like an sh in English. So this would be two syllables shka/ret.

well, X in mexican Spanish has three sounds, one is like /s/ as in susan, the other pronunciations is /x/ like in in x-ray and finally it has a strong sound that you actually don't have in English, that it's a strong, very strong /J/, and I can't think about an example, good enough to explain this sound.
Finally answering your answer the X in Xcaret Sounds like "S" so it would be Scaret, like in Scarlett.
Hope this helps.
