Will more than 1 peripheral in a USB port cause higher latency?
ok, i have my wireless mouse plugged into port on my wireless keyboard, will this cause higher latency? what if i plug another usb intensive device in, such as my M-Audo fasttrack pro? i play games such as counter strike source and unreal tournament, where mouse and keyboard response is critical, so any change matters. And i do have other ports available, they just arent as convenient. Also, the ports are all USB 2.0. Thanks!

Simba, don't be a cock, it's a simple enough answer. Do you use purple water to wet your mum on her birthday?
Yes it does affect latency, as can a total of up to 127 devices at the same time you can use on your pc, but it is still the fastest way of your machine getting a response. Your mouse would work faster is wired direct, all i can say is try it. Unless you have other infra red signals, or poor batteries, there should be no issue.
Get yourself a USB hub with a long cable (MUST BE USB 2.0)
No latency, just lat t t t long cables !!! ;o)

Do you have to ask?
"If i put green water into a garden hose, then put purple into the same garden hose at the same time, will there be less of each?"
