Is it possible to get back into bootcamp after being medically discharged?
My Marine husband's sister was medically discharged from Marine bootcamp after being diagnosed with asthma. Since she had not been diagnosed at anytime prior to bootcamp she got out not owing money or getting in trouble. The details are a little fuzzy about how everything went down, supposedly she was given the option to stay or go and she chose to go. Also supposedly the DIs were incredibly mean to her compared to everyone else (I don't believe it). Anyway, she says she wants to go back and found a way, but me and my friend (who is a Marine) don't believe it. I don't want her going back because she would get in big trouble for having asthma and them knowing about it. Although they wouldn't take her anyway because they know she has asthma -_-
Is it possible for her to get back in?

No. It's not possible. She was discharged for a pre-existing condition. Even though she never exhibited any symptoms of asthma before her enlistment, asthma (along with reactive airway disease, exercise-induced broncho-spasms and asthmatic bronchitis) are disqualifying after one's 13th birthday. Her re-enlistment code is probably RE-4 which will prevent here re-enlisting or enlisting in another branch. The first source below is the medical standard. The second source is the directive which was the authority for her discharge.

It all depends on what her discharge papers say. She will have to disclose to the recruiter officer that she was in and left basic. He will be able to look at ther papers and let her know. The marines may not accept her but she may be able to choose a different banch. My nephew was medically dis for air force, he is able to reapply in 6 months. Your family friend will have a period of wait time as well, but, again, may have to choose a different branch. She will have to disclose the asthma once she starts recruitment as well.

On Copy #4 of your DD Form 214 (Discharge Document) at the bottom, it will list a RE code like
RE1
RE2
RE3
RE4
If it shows a "RE3" code, then she must get a medical waiver to come back in. If she received a "RE4" code, then she will be permanently barred from any military services.

If she can receive a waiver for her asthma, and her discharge does not disbar her from re-enlisting, she can try and get back in.
However, only half the people who try and get waivers for asthma receive one, and it's sometimes rare for medically discharged people to be allowed back in.

To have an explosion, you elect 3 issues. a million. An ignition source... chemical. (No, i will not allow you to comprehend) 2. A starter... abdomen fluid could do. 3. A gasoline... body fat is sweet. i will not allow you to comprehend any extra. no longer after contemporary activities.
