R&P How worldly are you in terms of music?

Do you find that you listen to music in your native language or do you go outside you language? How much stuff do you listen to that doesn't come from your home country?

I've been listening to a lot more music from other countries in recent months, but I'd say 95% of it is in English. I do prefer to be able to understand the lyrics when there are lyrics, and since I only speak the one language, I generally seek music with English lyrics. There is some stuff in other languages that I do enjoy, including opera, fado (sp?), and various other things. Much of the new music I've been listening to lately is from other countries, just with English lyrics for the most part.

I listen to music in my native language more than I do any other language; however, I do enjoy listening to music in other languages (one of my favorite bands sings in a different language) and most music I listen to doesn't come from my home country (USA). A lot of it comes from Britain, some from Spain, some from Japan, and some more from other places in the world.

A good bit of my music is foreign and in other languages. My favorite band is an example. I love languages and enjoy very much bands from other countries. I like any language and I'm always looking for more foreign bands.

I like music in other languages. I just don't find a lot of it... so most of my music is in English.

Most of the stuff I listen to isn't Canadian.

Sure, but I speak a couple different languages. If I didn't understand then I might now listen to it.

As a guitarist i care more about the instrumentals than the vocals so the language doesnt matter to me

I try my best at least, although sometimes it's difficult to find stuff. I keep a list of where all of the bands/artists in my music library come from, just because I love data like that.
