got any severe acne advice? ?
I've had severe acne for four years now, and my own family tells me that my face looks like i have a serious disease. two years ago, i was able to obtain clear skin by taking antibiotics, but once i finished the meds, what do u know... the acne was back! i've tried acne free and proactive, but my skin looked like it was being burned. I have acne all over my face, and it has started spreading over my neck.
i really want it to just go away.i guess thats what i want for 2oo9 lol. so i went to the doctor, and he prescribed minocycline hcl and gave me differin. i stopped using t-zones salycic [oops not sure how to spell it] acid wash, and ive switched to the body shop's tea tree oil facial wash.
is there any advice u can give me so that i can get clear skin again? i really really really appreciate any advice =D !
THANK U =] =] =]

I would start taking the antibiotics again, thats what I'm using and its working wonders for me.
Are you in your teen years? Then you might eventually grow out of it.
Another thing working for me is a product called Retin-A Micro 0.04% (the stronger one burns my sensitive skin and doesn't work as well). Its a gel that you put on all over your face at night that takes away redness and prevents breakouts. Its absolutely amazing! Then whenever I have a particularly bad breakout I will apply some on the spot Duac Topical Gel.
All of this is fantastic for my skin and I love my skin now. Talk to a dermatologist or research it online and see if its right for you! Good Luck!

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...
Get Rid Of Acne Permanently?

OK, first, i would like to thank you for trying things. some people come on here and ask: 'why do i have acne? I've washed my face and it wont go away?' Jesus, lol! well, i also tried everything, accutaine, blemeesh, t-zone, clearasil, clean and clear, i also tried rubbing all sorts of creams and food all over my face only to experience a LOT of rashes. i went to the doctor and they prescribed a pill to me, along with a cream containing 10% benzoyl peroxide. the cream is called quinoderm and it worked great. i also had oily skin, it dries out your skin and the spots fade and eventually disappear. i recommend washing your face twice a day with a good face wash, then moisturize with a loisturizer (lotion & moisturizer) because this cream makes your face look soo dry its un believable. and the doc said buy any face wash containing the tiny blue small beads jojoba ones. i eventually found good face wash its called clarity. every since i saw the doc 6 months ago, the results have been amazing. the pill he prescribed me was called Erythromycin, but it cant be bought at any drug store, it has to be prescribed by a doctor, so i would suggest going to a doctors and asking about it. to have severe acne, you will have spots on your back. just go to your doctors and explain you have tried everything, and you would like to try Erythromycin (pill form) and tell him you even have the acne on your back too (its a strong drug, and shouldnt be used on mild/moderate acne- only severe) its a 6 month course, a tablet in the morning and before bed too. use the cream quinoderm cream in the morning, afternoon, and night (dont wash it off and if you have long hair tie it up before bed) and wash your face twice a day with a good face wash. then of course, loisturise (lotion moisturiser) remember, drink lots of water, and after every meal wash your hands so that if you accidentally touch your face, grease isnt being rubbed onto it. TRY AND KEEP YOU HANDS OFF YOUR FACE! im a natural worrier, and i forever have my fingers in my mouth, or on my lips, or hand on my chin, and i have had to stop doing it to keep these flying saucers off my face. when you wash your face too, DO NOT SCRUB even though the face wash is a face scrub, buy a flannel/face cloth, and put a small dollop onto the warm flannel. in gentle circular motions, rub the face was onto your dampened face, then rinse off with cold water.make sure you was every where. amongst the forgeting places is the side of the nose where black heads hide, the crease in the chin, the hairline on your forehead, and the bottom of your face. remember to stick to these rules, and in 6 months, i promise you your face will have either none, or very very small minute pimples even you wont notice, just like i have one right now on the side of my ear lol. i might add, i have no other spots anywhere on my face! ADD@ i thought i had already put this in but i didnt, before trying this, consult your doctor incase you are allergic, and steam your face to rid your pores of all the products youve been poisoning them with lol, after a 2 minute steam, wash your face with ice cold water. if you dont have a steamer, use a wash basin filled with boiling water, lean over it, and put a bath towel over your head to stop steam escaping. make sure your face has been washed first before steaming. i hope i helped, and i hope you see your results happen just as i did over the last 6 months! xx

Acne is a chemical reaction in your body and acidity. You probably have a reaction to food additives, preservatives and/or processed foods, as these things cause my body to break out big time. If you try a "clean" diet of natural foods, no dairy, white flour, sugar, salt or pre-packaged foods, your acne will clear up. This would mean a diet high in green vegetables (drink Greens+ daily), low-sugar fruits (berries) and lean meats. Try a liquid fast for a few days to cleanse your body first. You'll be happy with the results and how you feel. Also stress affects acne, so do some relaxation meditation which will balance your body in addition to a healthy diet.

PROACTIV solved all my problems. But not yours I guess. I think you need to take the big jump. Time to look into Accutane. This has been a miracle for many.

if u want it to stop spreading, go to a dermotologist and have him suck out all the oil in your face, my teacher's two daughters had horrible acne on their face and had to get it sucked out, their face got dry afterwards but they dont have acne anymore, just a teensy bit ^.^ good luck!
