Ankle still swollen and red after fracture?
i broke it in May, the orthopedic put me in a walking boot for 6 weeks, told me it had set up tendonitis. Its now december and its still swollen and the skin is really red. Its giving me alot of problems especially with the cold weather. Should I go back to see the doctor or is this normal???

No this is 6 months or more you talking about.
You need to see a doctor again, there is something else going on in this situation.
You need Xrays, and maybe a CT.
But if it is swollen and red, and you have not been walking on it, or even if you have, tell your doctor
Especially if it is painful at one point.
Your options here are , broken, tendonitis, infection, DVT, SVT.
You should do some blood tests also, to rule out DVT, SVT
But you should be ok, you need a doctor

No its not normal and something is drastically wrong... if it was broke and he gave you the boot to walk on, I believe it should have been a cast for 6 weeks and then the boot. I believe you have agitated it and it has not healed properly.... get back to the doctor asap... good luck and Happy New Year from Grant M in Pennsylvania
