You chose to have sexual relationships that caused a child to be born. You are legally responsible for that child. You have legal rights to see the child, but you need to fight to do so in a court of law. You wait 13 years to complain about not seeing the child, so you look like a horrible father to any who read this. You always had the right to visitations, unless you signed your rights away.
It is totally fair for you to have to pay for a child you helped to create. You have the legal right to get a second job or find a better paying job so that you can save money.
The law isn't about the child's mother, it's about the child. The mother is working her behind off to raise the child, a job harder than any other job out there. A job that doesn't have any days off, doesn't have a clock out time. It's every minute of every day of every year. One institute figured up that the average stay home mother would earn over 120,000 dollars a year for all she does if she were being paid for it.
Next, how is it that you don't know about your child and claim to not have seen him for 12 years but think you know what the mother does or does not do?
Go get a second job if you want money and support the child that you caused to be on this planet and quit whining like a little baby!

I have been there. They, at that time, took 50% gross of what ever you made, and Yes I wanted to pay the Welfare.
They have two sections. One for current welfare and one for past welfare not paid.
Your paying into welfare does not let effect that you have a past due.
Unfortunately the way Welfare has structured this, the past due is now a collection action that the courts decisions can not effect. I am not even sure if you tried a Chapter 11 or 7 under the new bankruptcy laws if you can have any relief.
It is ashame that the Marriage Certificate Issuer’s don’t have you sign in blood a statement that if you get divorced with children expect to be a pauper till they turn 18 or you have paid off the Welfare.
Do a google on
divorced dad and welfare

Well if you weren't getting any of that Welfare why are you having to pay it off? I don't see a Court saying oh you have to pay for her misdeeds as well, unless you really pissed off the Judge. So this she was collecting welfare, as if you didn't live with her or get any of it, and you are totally innocent is BS to me. As to the child support maybe now you know to keep it in your pants. As to the Stay at home mom would earn all that money I've read those articles and I think they exaggerate. Come on oh she is a doctor? When has she set a bone or anything? A nurse, but not a doctor because a case where a doctor is needed she takes the kids to the hospital. Anyway I think a kid at 13 shouldn't need a stay-at-home mother anyway. Send him to school and get a part time job.

You know I actually feel for you. Yes I do not care if deadbeat dads are broke because of child support or welfare, but dads that actually care about their children but happened to have them with a loser woman that wants to sit on welfare until her children are 18, well that just sucks for them. I don't think a person should be allowed to sit on welfare that long if they are not accomplishing anything and working on a way to get off.
Have you gone through the courts for child custody or at least visitation? If you haven't then I dont know if it would help now, but I would at least try. Also you should have done it way earlier because you might have been able to get partial or maybe even full custody and would not have had to worry about this or at least not that much.

It's absolutely fair, your paying back the taxpayers for the support your child has already received. If you feel your visitation rights are being violated, go back to court and establish a custody/visitation schedule that is fair, the mother has to abide by that agreement. This is a very old story and the most relevant reason for birth control and family planning, one night of sex produces a lifetime of child support in one way or another and the child pays most dearly...NOT good planning.

The old rule is "If you want to play , You have to pay". It is a little late to dispute if you should be paying support but if you go back to the Judge I am sure he will discuss it with you.
As far as taking your refund checks I think that is a grand Idea. If they take the money they say you owe from you then it is that much less I have to pay for your folly. Every deadbeat dad that loses his refunds allows more money in the system for situations where there is no father. Thanx dude..

You should have put a lid on it before helping conceive a child you didn't want with a woman you wouldn't/didn't marry. If you want to contest custody & child support, go to court and file for custody of the child and child support from his mother.
Why should other taxpayers pay for welfare, etc for this woman and your & her kid? That's not fair. You & she need to pay, nobody else had a hand (or other portions of anatomy) in this.

he will could desire to "go do it". first of all you're actually not married. you may desire to be married. And 2nd, in case you prefer to deposit the two one in each and every of your tests, you may desire to coach the financial enterprise to establish a "Joint Tenants" account, with the two one in each and every of your signatures. Then, the two individual can deposit the verify addressed to the different individual.
