Do you think that Obama will implement Hansen's tax plan?

If he does he will most likely add a few more layers of government to the process, but what will this tax plan do to you?

Here's the exact letters he has sent:

The fun thing is that he pushes the nuclear option, and yet that in it self leads to global warming, the heat generated ends up warming the planet.

It certainly is a viable option for reducing carbon emissions, so I imagine the Obama administration will at least take it into consideration. We do, after all, need to take global climate issues and legitimate conservation efforts seriously.

My concern with this particular proposal is with industries like agriculture. Corporate farming has ruined enough of this country's small towns and family farms already, and this idea would spell an absolute disaster for the few 'little guys' who are still holding on. The same could be said for owner/operator truck drivers, who have a difficult task to keep up with competition from enormous corporations.

The idea does not seem to be completely terrible, but it is certainly one that needs to go through some heavy consideration and a significant overhaul before being implemented.

Get rid of Homeboy Security, the Iraq war, the over paid mercenary army and Halliburton like frauds and replace it with a more functional model, just for starters- I have no problem taxing the wealthy as they are the most likely responsible for the current economic debacle. It certainly was not the fault of welfare recipients that drove us into national bankruptcy but the greed of the well to do many of whom seem to have turned the other cheek to obvious malfeasance by the SEC and the Republican administration. Sorry but the more that I realize how deeply we have all been screwed the more defensive I get. I am more than willing to give an unproven election winner a fair chance.
