ATA and SATA in same PC?

I currently have a SATA hard drive and a ATA DVD writer in my PC. I have just bought a SATA DVD writer. Am I able to install the SATA writer in addition to the ATA writer? There are a total of 4 SATA ports on the motherboard, one which is occupied by the hard drive.

    Yes. If you have an empty SATA port you can add another drive to it
