What is your greatest Baseball moment from 2008?

Being a Yankee fan, I would have to say the All Star Game that was held at Yankee Stadium. Say what you want about the Yankees but they certainly know how to put on a show and they did when they hosted the All-Star game. It was spectacular.

Finally seeing Mariano pitch in person. I was in Baltimore and saw him secure a win for the Yankees.

As a Yankee fan I was engrossed in the entire spectacle of the last game at Yankee Stadium. Truly an historical event. As you know living in Florida kept me from attending but I watched and taped the entire days broadcast including the pre game, the actual game and post game activities. It was done with class.

Next would be the World Series. Before moving to Florida I spent most of my life living in South Jersey only 30 miles from Philadelphia. I couldn't help but keep an eye on the Phillies and got to know a lot of the players via my job. If the Yankees couldn't win the series at least the Phillies got it done.

Matt Stairs jacking that home run against the Dodgers in the NLCS. Very Kirk Gibson-esque (only the homer was against the Dodgers this time.) As a Phillies fan also (a real Phils fan not the person who just watches the 9th inning), it was tough between the Utley fake throw to first and gun at home, Lidge's final pitch, Carlos Ruiz's game winning dribbler, Victorino's grand slam off CC in the NLDS, and the list goes on.

I also liked Ryan Howard trucking down Lidge and Ruiz after the final out. Classic.

Phillies winning the world series. It was just a build up of suspension, with the rain delay postponing the rest of the game. Game tied, knowing if Brad Lidge would have given up a hit at the end and lost the game, it would have been his first blown save of the year. But they won, and wont hte whole thing for the first time in over 25 years! It took my breath away.

When the Phillies won the world series!

    Yeah, I'm bias.

But I'll have to say when Joe Blanton the starting pitcher got that homerun in the World Series I was blown away to say the least. I was flipping out babbling saying "Pitchers can't even get hits let alone a homerun in the World Series." My brother had to tell me to shut up.

    Hahaha. Woo... good times.

The Red Sox comeback in Game 5 of the ALCS. They came back from a 7 run deficit.

For me it would either be Alexei Ramirez hitting a grand slam to get the White Sox to the playoffs or when he flipped the ball from his glove to Paul Konerko at first to get the out.
