i do believe you mean idioms, seeing as figures of speech are things such as similes and metaphors.

    however.

    over the hill

    dog-eat-dog world

    raining cats and dogs

    i'm dog-tired

    ants in my pants

    as easy as pie

    at the eleventh hour

    piece of cake

    i'm all ears

    up and running

    beat around the bush

    bent out of show

bit offf more than i can chew

i could eat a horse i'm so hungry

    blabber mouth

    the bottom line

    break a leg

    you broke my heart

    bull-headed

but hey, those are only just a few.

    loose lips sink ships,

its all good in the neighborhood

    bury the hatchet

picking the fly **** out of pepper

    kettle calling the cauldron black

    roll with the punches

    water under the bridge

    tongue and cheek

    like a knife through butter

    *I'm racking my brains

    *climbing the ladder of success

*falling in love (it's technically a figure of speech)
