I accidentally left my shirt at my date's house. What do I do?
I went on a second date last night. I went to her apartment to watch a movie and get takeout. I ultimately spent the night and I think that we both realized that there is no chemistry between us. Anyway, I left my sweater at her place. I texted her and asked if she had it. She said, "no". But i KNOW it's there. I remember leaving it there. What do i do know? I really want that sweater back.

Looks like she got a new sweater. It's called "shacking and shopping". That's when you make out with a girl and she steals your clothes. Normally, it's when she spends the night with you and steals your t-shirt and boxers.
Your problem was asking if she had it. You should have either just showed up over there or called her and said you left your sweater and what time should you pick it up. Asking if she has it via text not only offers her the opportunity to say no, it also gives her time to think about it. Showing up or calling catches her off guard.
If you really want to get it, about the only thing you can do is tell her that you called the police and reported it stolen, gave them her address and would she like to return it before they show up. It's a long shot, but at this point, I can't think of anything else. Good luck.

ask her out for a date and drop her off at her house, then ask to use the bathroom and while walking there, search around ( but look normal ) not stalkerish search, just like you are examining.
