I'm the kind of guy that wants it straightforward and no pussyfooting around.
You treat it firmly, but not viciously.
"Bill, I know that you really like me, but I must be honest in that this is not goign anywhere. yu want a person who will reciprocate your feelings and it not there for me to reciprocate. it would be best if we went out separate ways so you can find that person who will respond to your needs and feelings."
