Just for fun, do you like dogs, and if so, what is your favorite breed?

Mine is the Doberman, as I am sure you can tell from my avatar!

Also, before anyone reports this question, I ask you, please consider being lighthearted for a moment. When we realize we have similarities and that there are REAL people on the other side of the screen, we can work together for the change we need.

I love dogs. So much, in fact, that I work with them all day long. I think my favorite breed would have to be English Mastiffs. But I also love German Shepards.

I love dogs who are well behaved and quiet. Currently, we have a Yellow Lab who has been a great family dog and friend his whole 14 years. He is getting a little stiff and sore now and no longer runs with me.

We also have a Great Dane which I think is a great dog, but not as sharp as the Lab in the intelligence scale. He is my new running partner.

I like big friendly dogs that I can wrestle with and interact with. My sons love them also. I am not always a fan of smaller, barking dogs.

    Mithras.

I think my favorite breed would have to be the English Bull dog. My parents had one when I was little and my brother had one until recently. However, right now I am partial to my 2 Saint Bernard's. They are loving, gentle and are almost human in some respects. They cautiously watch over my infant nieces and nephews. But think that they are little kids themselves when my 12 year old plays with them.

Some times my husband and I are amazed to realize that they either totally understand what we are saying or are so intuitive it is scary.

Couldn't agree with you more, Autumn, my sister from another mother!

I love animals period, but dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I have never been without a dog, usually multiple dogs, my entire life! I cannot imagine my life without them!

We currently have a 11 year-old Boxer/Artic Wolf Mix we adopted and a rescued (formerly stray and from his behavior when he came, severely abused) 3 year-old Jack Russell Terrier. I love all my dogs as if they were my children. (I even paint my female's toenails on special occasions - she loves it!) They love to canoe and camp with us and their favorite activity is tagging along on horseback trail rides. My JRT even likes to ride with me when he gets tired.

There are several breeds I really like - JRTs, Dobies, Rotts, Huskeys, Great Danes, Malamutes, Samoyeds, etc. but as far as I'm concerned the best kind of dog is a Heinz 57 Mutt - just like me! :)

I've always had dogs from the pound, mixed breeds. We always have two dogs and when it's time for another one we ask which dog has been there the longest and is ok to live with children.

I love all dogs, and there are a lot of pure breds I would love to own, but my husband and I always feel like we should spring one out of doggie jail first.

I love dogs. I have a bernese mountain dog and a cavalier king charles spaniel. They have similar personalities - outgoing, sweet, playful - but the berner is 80 lbs while the cavalier is only 18 lbs!

I love Black Labs--we have three of them--one of which is so old she needs a LOT of motivation to get moving. She fell down the stairs yesterday and I was very very sad as I don't know how much longer she will be with us.

Otherwise a big fan of most dogs.

    I love dogs!

I'd have to say that my favorite "breed" is a mutt. I own three of different varieties. But if I had to pin it down to a recognized breed, I'd have to say German Shepherd Dogs. My mother used to breed them when I was growing up. My earliest memory is of the GSD that was also my first "babysitter".

  • Ummm...Did you know you put this in the wrong section?? LOL...Just kidding!!!!

I never used to be a dog person until about a year ago. Now my <<--- Lillie is almost as spoiled as the kids!! Actually the kids think she is more spoiled.

My favorite breed is whatever mix she happens to be...Boxer, Lab & Rottweiler and possibly beagle. What a combo, but sure makes for a cute dog! She is 55 lbs of pure lap dog!
