Why do J Witnesses ignore Isaiah 9:6 which show Jesus as the Everlasting Father which makes Him Jehovah God?

Isaiah 9:6: For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given,

and the government will be on his shoulders.

And he will be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

    They also ignore the verses about Jesus being the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.

    Yes, those beautiful titles apply to God's Son Jesus, the one who Jehovah appointed to be King of His Kingdom. Mighty God, Jesus is, being the 'Firstborn of all creation' -Colossians 1:15 He even had a share in creating the angels and all other things besides himself (Proverbs 8:22-31)! Jesus is above the angels as Philippians 2: 8-10 says! many scriptures even speak of him and his army of angels. From the Gospel accounts of Matthew Mark Luke and John, we get a view of what Almighty God Jehovah is like. The abilities that Almighty Jehovah God gave Jesus to perform, indeed made him godlike, yet Jesus never ever claimed that he was God. The people wanted to kill him because he said he was the Son of God. Jesus spent chapters explaining that he was not GOD. He became our everlasting Father, by replacing Adam. If Adam had remained faithful, his faith would have meant everlasting blessings for his offspring. Jehovah had Jesus step into Adam's role as our Father. What a loving provision! Both Jehovah God and Jesus love us! (John 3:16 and Proverbs 8:31 & John 15:13) In the scriptures we learn something very important. Jesus is indeed called 'mighty God' , but NOWHERE in the scriptures is he called the ALMIGHTY GOD. That distinction belongs to the One that Created everything including Jesus (Colossians 1:15) It is Jehovah God who is Almighty God! (Exodus 6:3 and Psalm 83:18) (SEE ALSO 2 Corinthians 6:18; Revelation 1:8; 4:8 Revelation 11:17; 15:3; 16:7; 16;14; 19:6; 19:15; and 21:22) This is what the Bible Really Teaches! Why do you ignore the fact that the title "Mighty God" applies to Jesus, while the term "Almighty God" (found elsewhere in the scriptures, not this particular verse) is ONLY used in conjunction with Jehovah God? Isaiah 9:6 is speaking about Jesus Christ, that much is plain. But the rest of the Bible shows that Jesus is NOT Jehovah, and Jesus is NOT the Almighty God. Revelation 3:14 makes it crystal clear that Jesus was the very first of God's creations. So obviously YOUR interpretation of Isaiah 9:6 is NOT accurate and not in harmony with the rest of the Bible.

    Jesus is never described as the father of Jesus, and Jehovah is never described as the son of Jehovah. The term "everlasting father" in Isaiah 9:6 refers to Jesus' role toward mankind that he purchased, and of whom he has become father as the second or "last Adam." (Romans 5:15-19; 1 Corinthians 15:21,22,45,47; Psalm 45:16)

    Jesus came in the name of Jehovah his Father. (Deuteronomy 18:15,18; Matthew 23:39; Mark 11:9,10; Luke 13:35; John 3:2,17; 5:19,43; 6:57; 7:16,28; 8:26,28,38; 10:25; 12:49,50; 14:10; 15:15; 17:8,26; Hebrews 1:1,2; Revelation 1:1)

    Jehovah never came in the name of any other than himself; thus, since there is none higher, he swore by himself. -- Hebrews 6:13

    Jehovah's witnesses let the bible interpret itself. They examine all other scriptures in the bible relating to a particular idea which may be difficult to understand. This enables them to draw accurate conclusions based on what the bible teaches, not what THEY personally believe.

    It does not show jesus is god. You are isolating a scripture and interpreting it to make it fit with a false doctrine- the trinity.

    As mentioned, many in the bible are referred to as 'god'- which means ' mighty one'. Satan is referred to as 'the god of this system of things', and even human governments are called god.

    Here are just a few verses that show Jehovah alone is the almighty. Jesus is indeed a mighty god since he has been exalted as king and priest and judge at the right hand of god. However never is he referred to as 'almighty god' like Jehovah

    Isaiah 44:24: I [am] Jehovah, the maker of all things; who alone stretched out the heavens, who did spread forth the earth by myself;

    Isaiah 42:8: I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

    Also, Jesus always made it clear that he was in subjection to Jehovah the almighty.

    John 6:38:For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.

    John 12:49: For I have not spoken from myself, but the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what I should say and what I should speak;

    John 13:16: I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him

    John 14:28: If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

    Too, god has never been seen, but jesus has;

    John 5 :37: And the Father who has sent me himself has borne witness concerning me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor have seen his shape,

    Jesus is prophetically referred to as "Everlasting Father" not because he is God, but because he took Adam's place and became our Father forever, or everlastingly.

    I think you are a little confused and interpreting things to suit your argument. Why does it bother you anyway what they believe, it is an attitude, such as yours, which creates conflict and war... If people want to believe the moon is made of cheese who are you to take issue, I believe it is all bollocks and that there is a mass psychosis happening, but it isn't my place to accuse so I don't.

    When was Jesus given the government responsibilities?

    I can't see the word "Jesus" in that verse.

    Besides, there are LOADS of Hebrew names with "God" in them - all the names ending in "-el" for instance, such as Emmanuel, Daniel, Gabriel, Gamaliel, Israel etc. Are those people also all gods?
