Washed the dishes or loaded the dishwasher - me

-Mowed the yard or shoveled snow - Neither of us has ever used a lawnmower in our lives and we don't have snow.

-Prepared a meal for more than one person - my husband

-Watered plants - We have only one plant and we have only had it 2 weeks but its died this morning and the woman at the shop told us we wouldn't be able to kill it. I think she underestimated us. It was a peace lily we had named harry

-Painted a room - my husband as i was pregnant but before that my dad

-Did a load of laundry - we have a washing machine but I usually send my stuff to my mums cause she has a woman that dos it for her and it comes back nicer.

-Went to the grocery store - We went together

-Prepared a tax return - We don't do this cause we are not self employed. We are English. Is it something you all have to do IDK?

-Took care of car maintenance - Umm we don't really do much to it. I don't think my husband has ever done anything except for fill the oil up and take it to the car wash. The guy at the end of the road is a mechanic so he does everything else.

-Ran the vacuum cleaner - me

-Scrubbed the bathtub or shower stall - We currently have no shower or shower unit and haven't had one for 3 months and we have no bath. We have to go in my daughters baby bath and wash with a shower attachment connected to the sink or use someone elses bath or shower. (We are having a mysterious leak problem that cannot be found by the builders/insurers long story)

-Washed windows - my neighbour does it as part of teh maintenance. We own flat but he is leaseholder of building

-Fixed something that was broken - I fixed the zip on my daughters playhouse which was royally messed up. I was kicking off at the time and my husband tried to ring the company to send it back but I saved us that hassle. Yay

-Put up or put away holiday decorations - We both put them up and we both put them back

-Took care of removing unwanted bugs or rodents. - We dont have rodents but the bugs we just leave in here. We have two spiders that live in our cloakroom but they kill the little bugs so we just leave them. They or ones like them have been there for the 2 years since we moved in. There is only ever 2 its a bit weird

Source(s): Me and my husband didnt do much of that but our life is a bit weird I think lol

I also have to say that my husband is gone for 2 weeks at a time so I have to do all of these things when he is gone. He is usually the one that mows the lawn but I did it the last time.

We are married, as you can tell. I do most of the housework because I am a homemaker and he's at the office all day. It's great, actually. The housework gets done without any bickering about who's doing more, and no worrying about everything being 50-50.
