Mark 14:61-62    Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" "I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Might One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

Luke 21:25-28  "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars.  On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.  Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.   At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

Philippians 3:20    But our citizenship is in heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

NOTE THAT IN THAT VERSE PAUL SAYS OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN!!!!

1 Thessalonians 4:15-5:4    According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.  For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of god, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And so we will be with the Lord forever.

In answer to your question about what the watchtower said about 1914, according to the Bible, that means they are false prophets.  When they claim they made a mistake, that simply means they admit they are false prophets.  There is no two ways around it.  The Bible says that false prophets don't get a second chance.  The Old Testament says to stone them to keep from misleading the people away from the one true God.  The New Testament says to treat them as heretics and reject them and their teachings.

Ibrahim is right. 1914 is the year that marks the end of the "Gentile times." That means that's when God's Kingdom was established in heaven, and Jesus was enthroned as King.

What we DON'T know is when the Great Tribulation and Armageddon will strike...hence, those scriptures.

The heavenly citizenship has an explanation all on its own. The heavenly resurrection is only for the 144,000 who will rule with Christ in the Kingdom. (Revelation 14:1)

Charles Taze Russel was a devoted eschatologist (it is a peverse pleasure that some people take in predicting doom).  He got his dates wrong a number of times (his last prediction i think was 1975) when they all turned out wrong, under mass departure, the church opted to change its stance on the last days, by claiming that 1914 was the correct date, but that noone noticed.  Basically, it is a cover-up.
